NBHH construction project of the largest mall in Al Ain (Bawadi Mall), the prestige of Al Ain and made known throughout United Arab Emirates and surrounding communities.  Bawadi Mall Project is a multi-purpose development comprising 145,000 sq.m shopping mall, with 400 retail outlets left as ‘shell and core’ to enable fit out works for leading brands such as: Carrefour, Marks & Spencer, Centre Points, Toys ‘R’ Us, Paris Gallery, ACE Hardware, Homes ‘R’ Us, Various International Fast Foods & Restaurants Outlets and Cafės, etc.

Al Noud Phase – 2 Infrastructure and Landscape Works (D&B)

The object of the project is the construction of roads and infrastructure works for AL-NOUD Phase 2. The works include the construction of internal and external roads, street lighting, potable water networks, rainwater drainage systems, sewerage systems, irrigation networks, electricity grids, and Public Utilities. The scope further extends to cycle tracks, substations, and comprehensive hard and soft landscaping works.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The Project includes the construction of infrastructure and streetscapes for the AL-NOUD Phase 2 development. The detailed scope is as follows:

  • Road Works: Implementation of comprehensive road networks including excavation (389,360 m3), massive filling operations (1,522,793 m3), asphalt paving (331,494 m3), cycle tracks, and precast concrete paving blocks.
  • Sewerage Network: Installation of an HDPE piping network (48,005 m) including 634 manholes and 751 house connections.
  • Storm Water Drainage: Construction of a drainage system utilizing GRP pipes (66,643 m) with 227 manholes, 1,360 inlets, and 107 catch basins leading to a final outfall.
  • Water Works: Development of a potable water network featuring 67,354 m of pipes and 88 valve chambers.
  • Irrigation Works: Installation of an irrigation system with HDPE pipes (41,882 m), 56 valve chambers, and associated pumping and control stations.
  • Power Network: Provision of a high-voltage electrical grid consisting of 11Kv cables (62,945 m) and 66 substations.
  • Street Lighting: Installation of a complete street lighting system including 70,000 m of cabling and 1,507 lighting poles.
  • Landscaping & Urban Furniture: Delivery of hard and soft landscaping works, including the installation of 15 bus shelters and extensive kerbstone work.

 

D&B Mazyad Residential Project – Eastern Sector – A

The object of the project is the construction of infrastructure and streetscapes for the D&B MAZYAD RESIDENTIAL PROJECT – EASTERN SECTOR-A. The works include the construction of internal and external roads, street lighting, potable water networks, rainwater drainage systems, sewerage systems, and irrigation networks. The scope further extends to electricity grids, telecommunication ducts, cycle tracks, and comprehensive landscaping works to support the residential development.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The Project includes the construction of comprehensive infrastructure for the residential sector. The detailed scope is as follows:

  • Road Works: Massive earthmoving and paving operations including excavation (825,318 m3), filling (708,868 m3), asphalt road construction (290,579 m2), cycle tracks (28,454 m2), and over 150,282 m of kerbing.
  • Sewerage Network: Installation of main sewer pipelines (28,036 m) and house connection lines (28,094 m), including 602 manholes and 542 connection chambers.
  • Storm Water Network: Construction of a drainage system featuring main pipelines (36,983 m), 250 manholes, and 1,200 gullies/catch basins.
  • Potable Water & Fire Fighting: Installation of a water network comprising main pipelines (67,446 m), 327 valve chambers, and 423 fire hydrants.
  • Irrigation Network: Development of an irrigation system with main pipelines (54,825 m) and 121 valve chambers.
  • Power & Electrical Works: Provision of an extensive electrical grid including 11kV cables (35,999 m), low voltage cables (135,000 m), 62 substations, and 559 feeder pillars.
  • Telecommunications & MCC: Installation of telecom ducts (113,579 m) and chambers (404 units), along with a dedicated MCC network featuring 41,189 m of ducting.
  • Street Light Works: Implementation of a street lighting system with 41,966 m of cabling, 1,130 light poles, and 20 control cabinets.

Al Noud site is located approximately 13 km south-east of the Al Ain City Centre. It is about 169 km from Abu Dhabi International Airport via E-22 Highway and about 41 km from the Al Ain International Airport via the Truck Road.

Construction of Trunk Sewer Network & TSE Infrastructure – Part 2.

The Al Ain Asset Enhancement Scheme is intended to address a mixture of strategic and conceptual needs. AES is being implemented in parallel with other components of the Capital Investment Program (CIP).

The contract includes:

The construction of a new deep interceptor trunk sewer from the existing Mezyad trunk sewer in the center of Al Ain City to a new WWTW at Al Hamah. It is noted that approximately 53 km in length needed to be constructed by micro tunneling.

The construction of a new TSE pumping station at Al Hamah WWTW and an Intermediate TSE Pumping Station with 2

reservoirs and chlorination facilities. Each of the pumping stations has a capacity of approximately 2200L/s.

Construction of twin pumping mains of approximately 42.3 km trench length, from the TSE pumping station at Al Hamah to the Intermediate Pumping Station and from the Intermediate pumping station to the existing pumping station at M10.

The scope of the work is divided into two packages, noting that package 2 has been awarded to NBHH on 11th October 2010 with a completion date and handing over set for the 10th October 2012.

SCOPE OF WORKS

  • 23 km of sewerage gravity lines. Various pipes diameters 1000 mm, 1200 mm, 1400 mm, 1600 mm and 1800 mm. 10 km constructed by open cut method and 13 km by micro tunnelling. Invert depth varies between 5 m and 19 m
  • 6.5 km of gravity sewer lateral with different pipes diameters from 160 to 1000 mm extended from the existing pumping main with invert depth varying from 2 to 17 m
  • Improvement of gravity sewer lines for PN8 with different diameters 160 mm to 500 mm diameter, with length of 1.5 km and invert depth from 5 to 10 m
  • 4.3 km for the ‘T’ line and main sewerage lines Mazeed, and sewerage gravity line. Pipes diameters from 160 mm to 800 mm. Invert depth from 1 m to 9 m
  • 258 manholes
  • Pumping main sewer lines for treated sewerage water
  • 1.8 km of pumping main sewer line treated water 1200 mm diameter from Zakher to M10
  • 3.5 km of treated pumping main 1200mm diameter from the treated pumping station at Zakher to locate of the 1st branch
  • 5.7 km of treated sewerage pumping main lines 800 mm dia. from the location of the 1st branch to the 2nd branch
  • 2.6 km from pumping main lines for the treated water sewers of 600 mm diameter, from the location of the 2nd branch to M10
  • 8 flow control valve chambers; 12 close out gate valve chambers; 27 air valve chambers; 25 washout chambers; 7 discharge chambers and number of flow meter chambers
  • Demolition works: Emptying and demolishing of 6 existing pumping stations

Construction of Roads and Infrastructure Works for Al Laim Neighborhood, Al Foah area of Al Ain

The project “Roads and Infrastructure Works for Al Laim Neighborhood, Al Foah Area in Al Ain region)” objective is to provide all Infrastructure disciplines such as, Roads, Storm Water, Street lighting, Sewerage and Potable Water network, Irrigation,  etc., for a new neighborhood of the existing Al Foah district of Al Ain Region for the proposed new plots. Al Laim Neighborhood is located within Al Foah area in the City of Al Ain, approximately 20km north-east from Al Ain Central District and 21.4km from Al Ain International Airport. he project boundary represents a total site area of 317 hectares and measures approximately 2400m & 1680m at its longest and widest points, respectively.

Al Laim Neighborhood is composed of mainly residential private villas, government housing plots in addition to government, community facilities and commercial plots.

Al Hili Residential Complex – 71 Buildings

One of the biggest residential developments in Al Ain, this project is Located in the Al Hili industrial area and covers over 37 hectares. NBHH has contracted this project on a turnkey basis, noting that the broad scope encompassed both the infrastructure works and the construction/finishing of the buildings. The latter scope necessitated taking advantage of all the in house knowledge and experience for a challenging timely completion. 71 buildings, G+6 and G+5, 160,000 m2 of residential areas, have been completed in approximately 2 years. NBHH has also built a staff and labor camp at a close distance from the project to accommodate over 2500 staff who worked on a double shift basis.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Site clearance, diversion and protection of existing services ; Infrastructure networks including 15,000 m2 of roads, 4.5 km of sewerage, 3 km of potable water lines, irrigation and 2 km of drainage pipes; 6,500 m2 of soft landscaping and play equipment for kids; Concrete sub-structure & super structure and Block works. Total of 115,000 m3 of concrete and 115,000 T of steel; Aluminium plain, perforated & mirror finish false ceiling; Aluminium doors, curtain wall windows; All interior finishing, wooden joinery works, kitchens, sanitary wares & accessories, tiling, painting works, etc..; Ducted split air conditioning system; 142 elevators; Central gas network; Fire protection & fire alarm systems; All electrical, electromechanical and communication installations; Testing and commissioning of all works; The maintenance of the works for a period of 365 days
